MAH MBA-CET 2022 Analysis

MH-CET/ MAH-CET is held by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra. It is an annual state-level entrance test used for admission to MBA/MMS programmes offered by accredited institutions of Maharashtra. CET scores are accepted by more than 300 institutes.In 2022, MAH-CET MBA was conducted on 23, 24, and 25 August.

MAH-CET 2022: Overall Analysis
MAH-CET is a computer-based test, composed of multiple-choice questions. The exam's difficulty level and question distribution remained same as that of year. MAHCET 2022 paper was fairly simple and straightforward. Similar to the last year, the questions from different sections appeared in random order. Logical Reasoning
As expected, LR section had majority questions from non-verbal reasoning, constituting around 70-80 questions of the total. Nearly 40-50 questions of non-verbal reasoning part were set-based and the remaining were standalone questions. These questions were on Arrangements, Coding-Decoding, Directions, Family tree, etc. Only 3-6 questions in LR were from verbal reasoning topics like Syllogisms, etc.
Abstract Reasoning
This section had questions based on visual reasoning concepts. These questions were from series completion, odd-one/ image out, analogies, etc. This time, Abstract Reasoning also featured a questions presented in grid-form, with certain figures in it.
Quantitative Aptitude
Quant section had 20+ questions from arithmetic and the remaining questions were from number system, modern maths, and geometry. Arithmetic questions were from Averages, Speed-Time-Distance, Mixture &Alligations, Ratio-Proportion, Time & Work, Percentages, Simple Interest and Compound Interest. In some slots, there were also questions from Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
In this section, almost equal weightage was given to RC-based questions and verbal ability questions. There were 7-8 RC passages of 150-500 words each, followed by inferential and factual questions. These passages were from popular and general topics of economy, communication, literature, etc. VARC questions were mostly from synonyms, antonyms, analogies, para jumbles, fill-in-the-blanks, etc.
Overall, an attempt of 170+ in MAHCET 2022 is sufficient for a high score in the exam.
