Eligibility in the MAH CET Notification
The MAH CET 2027 notification has not been released yet. The eligibility criteria as per the MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2026 brochure are given below.
You can appear for the exam if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a university recognised by UGC or AIU, any discipline, with at least 50% aggregate, or
- 45% aggregate if you are from a backward class, EWS or PwD category and belong to Maharashtra State, or
- You have appeared for the final year of such a bachelor’s degree.
The brochure says full CAP eligibility follows the previous year’s CAP information brochure.

What happens after the MAH CET Notification?
In late December 2026 MAH CET Notification and brochure will be released on mahacet.org, and the CET registration window will start accepting application forms. CAP is the counselling step. Do not mix the two.
- Read the PDF and the user manual.
- Log in on mahacet.org, fill the form, pay the fee, save the application number.
- Download the admit card from the same login when it is issued.
- Appear for the paper at the venue on the hall ticket. If the new notice again allows two attempts, sit the second only after you have paid for it.
- Download the scorecard when the result link opens. CAP uses the percentile (best of two if that rule returns).
- When the CAP notice opens, register again, upload caste/EWS/PwD papers, fill college options, and then Freeze or Float each allotment.
The CET notification does not publish college cut-offs. Those lists come with CAP. Full-time JBIMS MMS is CAP merit. GD-PI rounds are not included in CAP.
How to fill the MAH CET form
MAH CET application form has to be submitted online only on www.mahacet.org. Download that year’s user manual before you start.
- Visit mahacet.org and create or log in to your candidate account.
- Keep Aadhaar and APAAR cards or numbers ready. The 2026 notice stated that DigiLocker authentication is mandatory. Name, photo, date of birth, and gender must match Aadhaar details.
- Fill in personal, academic, and category details exactly as on your documents.
- Upload a color photograph: about 50 mm × 50 mm, face covering most of the frame, 100 KB to 5 MB, plain light background.
- Choose one attempt or both attempts, then pay online (card, net banking, IMPS, UPI). Note your application number.
- Submit and save/print the confirmation.
The application fee is non-refundable. Caste, EWS, and PwD certificates are uploaded at CAP, not only at CET. Quote the application number in any mail to the cell. Follow only the 2027 user manual when it is published.
Application fee in the MAH CET Notification
The MAH CET 2027 application fee is likely to remain the same as last year. The figures below are from the MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2026 Information Brochure.
Candidates can pay only through the online system by using a credit or debit card (RuPay, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), internet banking, IMPS, UPI, or wallets. Offline payment is not allowed. Gateway charges are extra. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

A caste certificate, caste validity, and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) valid up to March 2028 in that cycle are required at CAP if you are claiming a reserved seat. EWS and PwD certificates are also submitted with the CAP form.
Exam pattern and marking in the MAH CET Notification

The mode of the test is online (CBT), and the medium is English, conducted for 150 minutes. Each question has five options. There is no negative marking scheme. You may attempt any question in that time.
MAH CET Test Cities and ID proof
MAH MBA/MMS CET will be conducted in the selected cities with specific designated exam centres in Maharashtra. If the designated centres of your preferred exam city fill up or are cancelled, the exam authorities will allot another exam city or centre. After that, you cannot email for a change of city, date, or slot. Read the hall ticket the day it is issued. Reach that venue only. The 2027 city list will be in the new brochure.
You must carry the hall ticket and an original photo ID with the same name as the hall ticket. Carry PAN, passport, permanent driving license, voter ID, bank passbook with photo, Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar, college or employee ID, or similar listed ID proofs. However, a ration card and learner driving license are not valid. Late reporting after the time on the hall ticket is not allowed.
MAH MBA CET Result 2027
The MAH MBA CET result will be released in the fourth week of May 2027 or the first week of June 2027 (tentatively). The score should be uploaded in normalized form. Participating colleges and universities release their cutoffs. Candidates should note that the result date will be delayed due to increased registrations and the examination date.
The MAH MBA CET result is a scorecard PDF available in your cetcell.mahacet.org login. On recent cards, you typically see:
- Candidate name
- Application/registration number and roll number
- Photograph (if printed on that year’s card)
- Exam name (MAH-MBA/MMS CET) and attempt
- Date of the test
- Scaled/equated score
- Percentile
- Result declaration date
If you took both attempts, each attempt will have its own score and percentile. CAP uses the better percentile, not the average.
MAH CET MBA Selection Process
After the MAH CET MBA 2027 results are declared, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will initiate the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) to allocate MBA/MMS seats across participating colleges. The process, lasting about a month and a half, includes document verification at Setu Suvidha Kendra, followed by the release of a provisional merit list and final merit list to facilitate B-School allotment.
Top MBA colleges in Maharashtra, including JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, and K J Somaiya, participating in the CAP round, will offer admissions based on the seat matrix and B-School allotment through CAP 2027.
