MAH CET syllabus includes essential topics of reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and verbal ability. While the sectional division of the exam is similar to other MBA entrance tests, the weightage assigned to different topics varies. MAH CET 2025

MAH CET is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, for admissions into MBA/MMS/PGDM/ PGDBM courses offered across various Universities of the State. Since 2021, it has been held annually over three slots (days) in the month of August, but starting in 2023, it will take place over two slots (two days) in the month of March. Around one lakh aspirants apply for the exam and compete for the limited admission seats of the reputed B-schools.

The first step towards exam preparation is to know its syllabus well. Though the MBA CET exam syllabus has not been strictly pre-defined by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, we have identified the important topics based on the previous years' papers.

MAH CET Syllabus 2025: Overview

MAH CET has been conducted in a computer-based test format since 2014. It is quite moderate in difficulty level and can be tackled well with good practice. There are no separately defined sections in the exam. The following table gives a broad idea of the MBA CET syllabus and structure:

MAH CET Syllabus 2025: Section-wise List of Topics
For the past few years, the questions from different sections have appeared randomly in MAH CET. However, your sectional performance does impact your final score, which makes it incumbent to pay attention to all areas, especially the ones that are frequently featured in the exam. MAH CET Syllabus for Verbal Ability

MAH CET Syllabus for Logical Reasoning
Around 65-85 questions in MAH CET are from Logical Reasoning. In this section, most of the questions are from non-verbal reasoning, and very few are from verbal reasoning. Also, more than half of the LR questions are in form of sets, and the rest are standalone ones. Make sure to go through the following topics while preparing for LR section:

3. Which is easy, CAT or MAH CET?
MAH CET is easier compared to CAT. While CAT is a national-level exam, MAH CET is held on State-level, which creates a difference in the competition for these exams.
4. What is percentile in MAH CET?
The percentile score in MAH CET follows a similar procedure as other exams. Since it is conducted in three different slots, its scores are normalised to bring equivalence and then converted to percentile.
