IIFT 2021 Exam Analysis
IIFT 2021 presented a mix of moderate to tough questions in various sections. While the verbal and GK sections were medium in difficulty, Quant and DI were relatively tricky and calculation-intensive. Given below is the detailed analysis of all the sections of IIFT 2021:
Quantitative Aptitude Analysis
Quant was slightly tougher and lengthier than previous year. It mainly included questions from Arithmetic and Geometry. While the arithmetic part was easy to solve, the geometry-related questions were slightly complex. There were also a few questions of probability, clocks, and Venn diagram. Most of the questions were indirect in nature but a good understanding of concept suffices for a good score in the section.
An attempt of 12-15 questions with high accuracy is sufficient to crack the section well.
RC & Verbal Ability Analysis
Verbal section was moderate in difficulty. There were 4 RC passages with 4 questions each. These passages were from politics, science, and sociology. Although majority of the RC questions were direct, a few of them posed tricky answer choices. However, the complete RC section was doable and straightforward. On the other hand, the verbal ability portion strongly focussed on testing the vocabulary-based knowledge of the candidates. Further, a few questions were of parajumbles and sentence correction.
An attempt of 14-16 suffices for a high score in the section.

DI & Logical Reasoning Analysis
This was the most difficult and lengthiest section of IIFT. Most of the sets involved complicated kind of information and questions. So, it was upon the students to make the right choice of questions. However, the LR-based single line questions were simple and manageable.
An attempt of 11-13 questions with good accuracy is sure to fetch you a great score in the section.
General Awareness Analysis
This section was considered easier than the previous year. As usual, it featured a blend of static and current GK questions, with a little higher emphasis on the former. Questions were asked from a variety of areas like science, politics, business, etc.
An attempt of 7-8 questions even with moderate accuracy is enough to get you the required score in the section.
