The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is one of the most acclaimed MBA institutes all over India. Its MBA in International Business is the most sought-after course among management aspirants. The selection procedure at IIFT involves a Written Exam, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Personal Interview.
The written exam (IIFT) is conducted in the month of November/December and the results are declared in the month of December/January. Various areas tested in the exam are: Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge. To get a clear idea about different questions in each section of the exam and their level of difficulty, the aspirants must go through the previous year papers.
IIFT is one of the most challenging exams in the country due to a differential marking scheme, an additional section on general awareness, moderate to difficult level of questions and less time duration vis-à-vis the number of questions. Although the number of questions has varied every year, it has remained same at 110 since the last two years. Besides, each section has a different weightage as well as cut-off score. In this respect, the past year papers serve as a valuable source of preparation and practice.
