XAT 2023 Analysis
XAT is divided into two parts, with part-I made up of sections on verbal, quantitative, and decision-making, and part-II consisting of essay-writing and GK sections. These five sections make up a total of 100 multiple-choice questions and one essay topic. The duration of the exam is 190 minutes. From 2022, the essay-writing section has been reintroduced. XAT 2022 Analysis
The difficulty level of XAT 2022 was almost similar to that of XAT 2021. This time ‘Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation’ was moderate. The RCs in verbal section, as usual, had close options. This time essay writing was again introduced by XAT. It was included in part II of the paper. This year, the number of MCQs were 75 for part 1 & 25 (GK) in part II. Total time for this section was 165 minutes for part I and 25 minutes for part II. There was penalty for un-attempted questions (after 8 questions) and it was only of 0.10 marks. However, this feature is not going to affect the overall score significantly. There were no NON-MCQ (TITA) questions this year also. The essay of only shortlisted candidates will be assessed. XAT 2021 Analysis
The level of XAT 2021 was slightly difficult as compared to XAT 2020 .This time ‘Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation’ was moderate to difficult. The RCs in verbal section, as usual, had close options. There was no surprise element this year as the paper was based on conventional lines. This year the number, of questions, was 75.Total time for this section was 165 minutes. There was penalty for un-attempted questions (after 8 questions) and it was only of 0.10 marks. XAT 2020 Analysis
The level of XAT 2020 was slightly easier than that of XAT 2019 as this time’ Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation’ was manageable. The major surprise this year was that many questions in a few sections and a complete section of Decision Making did not have negative marking. However this aspect was not clearly mentioned in the main instructions and therefore lot of students were not able to take the advantage of this feature.  Read More..

The level of XAT 2019 was slightly tougher than that of XAT 2018. This year also the number, of questions, was 74. Total time for this section was 165 minutes. There was penalty for un-attempted questions (after 8 questions) and it was only of 0.10 marks. However this feature is not going to affect the overall score significantly. XAT 2018 Analysis
The difficulty level of XAT 2018 was a little higher than that of XAT 2017. This year the number, of questions, was 74. Total time for this section was 170 minutes. There was penalty for un-attempted questions (after 8 questions) and it was only of 0.05 marks. However this feature is not going to affect the overall score significantly. XAT 2016 Analysis
The difficulty level of XAT 2016 was almost similar to XAT 2015. This year the number of questions was reduced to 78 from 83(previous year) and on the other hand allotted time was increased, by 30 minutes. Due to these two reasons the cut-offs this year will be slightly higher in comparison to last year's cut-offs. XAT 2015 Analysis

XAT 2014 Analysis
The difficulty level of XAT 2014 was tougher than that of XAT 2013. There was a slight decrease in number of question i.e. 83 from 85. Keeping these facts in mind the cutoffs will be lower than last year’s cutoffs. Read More..
XAT 2013 Analysis
XAT 2013 was different from XAT 2012 in terms of difficulty level as well as in number of questions. The numbers of questions were reduced to 85 from 101. As announced earlier, the difficulty level was comparatively easier than last year's paper. Like last year, this year also there was differential marking scheme.
