SNAP 2024 Analysis

SNAP test is a computer-based test and SNAP Test 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on three different dates i.e. December 08, 2024 (Sunday), December 15, 2024 (Sunday) & December 21, 2024 (Saturday).  All the three sessions (December 8, 15 and 21, 2024) will have two shifts. The pattern this year was almost same as that of last year. A candidate can appear for up to three tests for SNAP 2024. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and there will be no normalization.
In 1st session (8 Dec), students found the English section as easy to slightly moderate, the Analytical & Logical Reasoning section as easy, and the Quant section as a bit challenging due to lengthy calculations. Overall, time management and selection of questions would have played a major role in clearing cut-offs.  The overall feel of the exam was moderate. Read ahead to get a detailed analysis of the exam.

Section-Wise Analysis
Section I: General English
The pattern of this section was almost similar to what it was in the previous year. There was no surprise element this year. The English section was primarily dominated by Vocabulary & Grammar-based questions. The grammar questions were based on parts of speech-based questions in the form of Fill In the Blanks, Voice & Speech, Figure of Speech etc. The vocabulary questions were based on Antonyms, Idioms, Prefix & Proverbs. 2-3 questions were based on Sentence & Word Ordering.
The overall feel of this section was easy to slightly moderate.
Good Attempt: 12-14questions
Section II: Analytical & Logical Reasoning
The difficulty level of this section was moderate. The section included questions on Coding/Decoding, blood relations, Word Arrangement and Missing Letters and Binary Logic etc. This section was dominated by verbal & Critical Reasoning as there were around 8-10 questions based on these areas, such as Assumption, Arguments, Inference /Conclusion, Cause & Effect etc. The questions based on Verbal Reasoning were easy except one or two questions.  These. There were 2-3 questions based on Letter Series & Seating Arrangement each. There were 3-4 questions on Clocks and Calendar and were easy. Only the right selection of questions would have played a key role in maximizing the attempts.
Overall feel of the section was easy to moderate.

Section III: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & DS
This section had questions from Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Higher Math, etc. There were 3 questions each of Algebra and Number System which were moderate. There were questions on Probability, Permutation & Combination. Students found this section a bit challenging due to lengthy calculations. The questions based on Probability were tricky, as the students reported. The DI had only one question. However, using options wisely would have played a key role in maximizing the score in this section.
Overall, the feel of the section was moderate to slightly difficult.
