TISSNET cut-off is the primary shortlisting criteria, set by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, for admission to its courses across various campuses. The institute specialises in education related to human resources, social work, education, urban studies etc. Once the results are announced, the test-takers are inquisitive about the cut-off for their desired programmes. So, here we have provided the actual cut-offs of 2022, based on which the next session cut-offs will be set.
TISSNET is a computer-based test conducted all over India in January/ February every year. Management aspirants generally prefer MA (HRM & Labour relations) or MA (Organization Development, Change and Leadership), which are considered equivalent to MBA programmes offered by reputed B-schools. The authorities decide the TISS cut-off after the results are made public; the cut-off score decides who gets an interview call and who does not.
Based on TISSNET cut-offs, candidates are called for the GD and PI round. The criteria for final selection include the TISSNET score, candidate's academic record, profile of the candidate, work experience in months etc.
The TISS cut off score varies according to the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the intake capacity at each campus. Around 37,000 candidates normally take the TISS exam each year. The TISS cut-off will vary as per the course and location as well. Given below are the TISSNET 2022 cut-off figures for MBA-equivalent M.A. courses offered by the institute. The cut-off for TISSNET 2023 will be on similar lines:
HRM: 67
Organization Development, Change and Leadership: 63
Additionally, the first stage qualifying cut-off for written test is 45%.
