Overall Brief

On the whole the level of the test was moderate. Many of the questions were of easy & moderate level barring a few difficult questions so the key to getting a good percentile was selection of questions so as to leave difficult questions and save the time for easy and moderate level questions.

 
QUANT & DI
Easy Questions:
1,3,5-7,20,26-27

The Quantitative section was of moderate to difficult level with 8 easy, 8 medium and 11 difficult questions. The major areas from Quant covered in this section were Geometry (2 moderate and 1 difficult question) & Number system (1 easy & 2 difficult). While the other topics were Algebra (1 difficult), Relations & Directions (2 difficult), Trigonometry (1 medium), Functions & inequalities (1 medium), TSD (1 easy), Logs (1 easy), Data Sufficiency (1 difficult) & Sets & Venn Diagrams (1 easy). The section ended with 4 sets of DI with 1st set on Line diagram having 2 moderate & 2 easy questions, 2nd set on Bar graph having 3 easy questions while the 3rd set on Tables having 2 medium and 1 difficult question. Last sets on Multiple graphs having both difficult questions. Thus, DI was more towards the higher difficulty level.
One could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 13-15 questions with 75-80% accuracy.

 
AR & Decision Making
Easy Questions:
28-35, 37-40, 42-45, 47-48, 53, 54,57-59

The section had only 5 sets of AR having 13 questions and remaining 8 questions on Decision Making. Overall, there were 3 easy questions, 6 medium and 2 difficult level questions. The section had a total of 18 easy and 5 medium level questions. In AR, the 1st set had 3 easy questions, 2nd set had 2 easy questions, 3rd set of AR having 4 questions (2 easy, 2 medium), 4th set having 2 questions (1 easy, 1 medium) and last Set of AR having 2 questions of easy level. There were 2 sets of 4 questions each for decision making. 1st set had 1 easy, 2 medium & 1 difficult question and 2nd set had 2 easy & 2 medium level questions. The overall feel of the section was easy to moderate and one could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 14-17 questions with 80-85% accuracyThe section had only 2 sets of 3 questions each and 1 set of 2 questions on AR and remaining 12 questions on Decision Making. The section had a total of 9 easy, 6 medium and 6 difficult level questions.
In AR, the 1st set had 3 easy questions, 2nd set had 1 easy, 1 moderate and 1 difficult question while 3rd set had 2 question of difficult level. The set of Questions (52-60) was based on decision making. The questions were primarily based on social and business issues. The questions were either moderate or difficult except questions (53, 54, 57-59), which were easy.
The overall feel of the section was moderate and one could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 12-14 questions with 80-85% accuracy. .

 
Verbal
Easy Questions:
28-30,32,34,38-40,42, 50-51

The verbal section was moderate to difficult. First set of questions was based paragraph Q (28-31) talked about Toyota company and its working conditions in the shop floor. All questions were based on factual analysis. All questions were easy except Q (31) which was difficult.2nd pa Q(33-36) highlighted the reason for the aliens not making any contact with humans and which was that they might have occupied themselves with pleasure seeking activities. All questions were based on facts. All questions were either easy or of medium level. Next set of questions Q(32,40) was based on sentence completion wherein three blanks were given in the question. Both the questions were easy. Another set of questions Q(37-39,43-51) was based on critical reasoning. There were questions based on Para completion, arguments, implied meaning, weakening and strengthening of logic and critical reviews of author. All questions were of medium level except Q (38, 39, &51) which were easy and Q (46, 47) which were difficult. One difficult question Q (41) was based on vocabulary and one easy question Q (42) was based on sentence rearrangement. One should do 14-16 questions with 80-85% accuracy to get 90%ile.

Easy Questions:
74-76,78,80-82,84,88,91,95

The section was moderate. The section had a variety of questions ranging from business and economy, environment, sports, finance and banking, science and technology, books and authors to Current GK. One has to do 11-13 questions with 80-85% accuracy to get 90%ile.

Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was moderate level, though for the students who knew how to manage the time available to the best could have selected easy questions i.e. not wasting much time in lengthy and difficult questions, managing an overall good attempt. Quant, DI and AR were mostly selective in this paper. As far as Quant is concerned most of the questions were from Algebra and Geometry. Decision making section was moderate and in verbal section focus should have been on Critical reasoning and reading comprehension.
