Overall Brief

On the whole the level of the test was moderate. All the questions were of easy or moderate level barring a very few difficult questions so the key to getting a good percentile was selection of questions so as to leave time consuming questions and save the time for easy and less time consuming questions. It is important to note here that since there is no negative marking, so the student should attempt all the questions.

 
REASONING
Easy Questions:
81-91,94,97-100,102,104,106-108,111,114,116,118-120

The reasoning section in this paper was having total of 40 questions out of which 27 were easy, 10 were medium and 3 were of difficult level. There were 6 questions of coding – decoding which were of easy to moderate level. As such, AR was easy in this paper. There were 3 AR sets having 5 questions except one set had one question which were easy. Out of 4 questions on Input-Output, 3 were easy and 1 was moderate. Out of 3 questions on series, 1 was difficult and 2 were easy. Out of 6 questions on Relation & direction, 1 was easy and 2 were medium. There was 1 question on sets & Venn diagrams, which was difficult. Out of 4 questions of miscellaneous, 3 were easy & I moderate. There were 10 questions of verbal reasoning, out of which 2 were difficult, 4 moderate & 3 easy. The overall feel of the section was moderate and one could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 36-40 questions with 80-85% accuracy.

 
QUANT & DI
Easy Questions:

The Quantitative section was of easy level with 26 easy, 21 medium and one difficult out of a total of 48 questions. There were 4 questions on Ratio & partnership which were easy. The papers had 6 questions on Data sufficiency out of which3 easy, 2 moderate & I difficult. This time there were 4 questions of permutation and combination (1 moderate & 3 easy). There were 2 questions of basic numbers (1moderate & 1 easy) and 3 questions of SI & CI (1 moderate & 2 easy) and 3 questions of Geometry & mensuration (1 moderate & 2 easy). There were 3 questions on percentage and 2 questions of average which were all easy. There are some other sections also such as Work & chain rule, Alligation & mixture, Profit & loss, Progression& series, basic Algebra and one was miscellaneous question which were easy to moderate. The DI section had one data caselets having 5 questions of moderate level. This block was easy and doable. Also there was one block on table and one was on Line diagrams. All these blocks were easy to moderate. One could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 43– 46 questions with 80-85% accuracy.

Easy Questions:

The first set, of questions (1-6), was based on vocabulary. All the questions were either moderate or difficult except Questions (1 &6), which were easy. The set, of questions (7-10), was based on sentence rearrangement and were either moderate or difficult. The set, of questions (11&16), was based on analogies. Both the questions were difficult. The set, of questions (25-28), was based on vocabulary based cloze test. The questions were a mix bag. The set, of questions (17-20 & 23). All the questions were moderate except questions (18 & 19), which were easy. The set, of questions (21, 22, & 24) was based on part error. The questions were either moderate or difficult. The first passage (12-15), based on following the rules. All the questions based on it were moderate except Q14, which was easy. The second passage, Q (29-32), was based on finding the right school. All the questions were moderate except Q30, which was easy. The overall feel of the section was moderate to tough. One could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 20-22 questions with 80%accuracy.

 
Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was moderate, though for the students who knew how to manage the time available to the best i.e. not wasting much time in lengthy and difficult questions, could easily manage an overall good attempt. Reasoning was mostly selective in this paper. As far as Quant is concerned most of the questions were from Number system, Geometry & Arithmetic and were of easy level. The DI part of the paper was also easy. Taking the Verbal, the general strategy is that never leave a RC passage on the face of it that it is either lengthy or the language is difficult, without reading the questions given below as some of the question could be direct and do not require full reading and understanding of the passage. One should have a good knowledge of basic grammar and vocabulary to score well in verbal section.
