style="background-color:#aeaeae;"
Overall Brief

As SNAP is considered easier than other exams in the same category so generally test takers are not able to realize the importance of having reasonable accuracy. Hence the most important thing is to learn time management and to have reasonable accuracy while maximizing the attempts especially taking a test based on a new pattern. The new pattern has sixty questions to be attempted in sixty minutes with negative marking of one –fourth for a wrong answer. As some of the sections such as Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning are time consuming and cover major portion of the exam so one has to find the easy questions to solve and leave questions which are difficult or time consuming. Overall feel of the paper was easy to moderate.

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
Easy Questions:
1, 3-5, 7, 8, 10-12, 15, 17, 19, 20

The Quantitative section had 20 questions out of which 13 easy, 6 medium and 1 difficult questions were there. This section had most of the questions as either moderate or easy. In this paper there were 2 questions from Line diagram which were doable, 3 from Permutation combination and probability out of which one is difficult, 3 questions from Sets and venn diagram and they were doable. There were 5 questions from arithmetic (Percentage/Profit and Loss/Mixtures/Average/SICI/Time and Work/Ratio) were mostly of easy to moderate.

TSD had 2 questions which was manageable. Other than these topics, questions from mixed topics were asked like Algebra, Logs, Numbers and progressions which were moderate. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. A good student could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 16-18 questions with approx. 90% accuracy.

General English
Easy Questions:
24-27, 29, 32, 33, 35

Question 21 was based on antonyms and was of moderate difficulty. The next set of questions (22, 31, 32) was vocabulary based sentence completion and were moderate, difficult and easy respectively. The RC passage (23-27) was based on ‘problems that hamper growth of Indian exporters and the recent reforms by the government in this regard are baby steps to solve them.’ All the questions based on the passage were easy except Q23 which was easy.

There was only one question 34 based on sentence rearrangement and was of moderate difficulty. One question 35 was about identifying parts of speech of the given word(s) and was easy. The overall feel of the section was easy to moderate. One could have easily scored 90+ percentile by attempting 11-12 questions with 75-80% accuracy.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning
Easy Questions:
36-41, 43-46, 49-56, 60

The level of this section was easy to moderate. All sets were of easy to moderate level. Overall there were 19 easy, 4 moderate and 2 difficult questions. There were two questions on Mathematical puzzles out of which one is difficult. 2 questions from coding, 1 each from series, analogy and verbal reasoning were doable. There were 3 questions from relationship and directions and 2 questions from Visual reasoning which were easy. There were two sets from Analytical reasoning and other questions are from reasoning miscellaneous and all were manageable. In such a paper it is important to first attempt easy questions and leave the tough questions.

The set on Analytical reasoning (There is a group of five persons One of them is a Singer, one is a Dancer, one is a Painter, one is a Teacher and one is a Doctor) was easy set. The set Analytical reasoning (6 friends, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting around a table facing inside. Two of them are singers) again manageable set. One question 51 was based on Analogy which was easy. One question 54 was based on logical reasoning and was easy. One question 55 was based on Verbal Reasoning (Statement argument) and was easy. The overall feel of the section was easy to moderate and one could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting around 21-23 questions with 90% accuracy.

Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was easy to moderate, thus for the students, who knew how to manage the time available to the best i.e. not wasting much time in lengthy and difficult questions, could easily manage an overall good attempt. AR was a little tougher than quantitative aptitude so it is wise to maximize the attempts in this area. The verbal usage and reading comprehension was dominated by vocabulary based questions in the form of idiomatic usage, sentence completion, analogies and vocabulary miscellaneous followed by one reading comprehension passage. In order to score well in verbal usage and reading comprehension section one should have good vocabulary, and ability to understand the context.
