Overall Brief

On the whole the level of the test was easy to moderate. The important thing was time management. One had to pick the easy questions and leave any questions which were difficult or time consuming.

 
Verbal
Easy Questions:
151-154,159-164,168-170,172,174-185,188-200

In verbal section the first comprehension (151-160) based on centre –state relationship was easy to understand. All the questions were easy except questions (155,157-158) were moderate. The questions (161-165) were based on sentence completion. All the questions were easy except Q165, which was difficult. The questions (166-170) based modifiers were a mixed bag. The questions (176-180) based on vocabulary were easy. The questions (181-185) were based on active- passive voice and were all easy. The questions (186-188) based on one word substitution were moderate except (188), which was easy. The questions (189-191) based on spellings were easy. The questions (192-195) based on grammar part-error were easy. The questions were based on fundamentals of grammar. The last set of questions (196-200) was based on sentence rearrangement. All the questions were easy. The overall feel of the section was easy. One could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 46-48 questions with 90% accuracy.

 
ANALYTICAL & LOGICAL REASONING
Easy Questions:
27 – 33, 35 – 39, 41 – 92, 94 - 99

Reasoning was of easy level having 70 easy, 4 moderate and 1 difficult question. Analytical Reasoning had 10 questions (all easy level). The other topics were Symboperation (3 medium), Coding-decoding (5 easy), Syllogisms (10 easy), Analogies (4 easy, 1 medium), Input / Output (7 easy, 1 medium). In addition, some questions on Verbal reasoning (2 easy, 2 medium, 1 difficult. A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 55 - 60 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
ABSTRACT REASONING
Easy Questions:
1 – 6, 8 – 11, 13, 15 – 18, 21, 22, 24, 25

Abstract Reasoning (Visual reasoning) was of easy level having 19 easy, 6 moderate questions. A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 20-21 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
QUANTITATIVE ABILITY
Easy Questions:
101 – 111, 114, 116 – 122, 124 – 136, 143, 144, 146

Quant was of easy level with 36 easy, 13 medium and 1 difficult questions. The topics which had maximum questions were Approximations and Calculations (10 questions). There were 3 questions of Average, 2 questions on Permutation and Combination, Probability. Rest of the topics in Quantitative ability was covered by taking 1 to 2 questions each like TSD (2 questions), Geometry & Mensuration (3 questions), Profit & Loss (2 questions), and Percentage (1 question). In DI, there was 1 set on Line Diagram and two sets of Tables. The other topics in Data Interpretation were Data sufficiency (all medium), A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 28 - 29 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was easy to moderate. Now talking of strategy, as a general rule you should not get struck in any question unless you are sure about its solution. Taking the Reasoning section, AR & Visual Reasoning was mostly moderate & difficult and thus should be attempted at the end if the time is remaining. The general strategy for Quant section would be to solve easier questions and leave all the questions which were difficult or time consuming. In verbal reasoning questions, the understanding of the context and being aware of the related tricks to solve the questions are crucial. Now talking of strategy, as a general rule you should not get struck in any question unless you are sure about its solution. In verbal section, focus should have been on vocabulary, Grammar and reading comprehension.
