Overall Brief

On the whole the level of the test was easy. The important thing was time management. One had to pick the easy questions and leave any questions which were difficult or time consuming.

 
Verbal
Easy Questions:
101,102,106-107,128,136-140,142-144,148-149

The set of questions (101-105 & 136-140) was based on sentence correction. All the questions were either easy or moderate except Q103, which was difficult. The set of questions (106-115) was based on verbal reasoning. All the questions were either moderate or difficult except questions (106,107,110), which were easy. There were two RCs (116-120 & 131-135). The first RC was based on reflection on sarcasm and second RC was based on time &money spent on maintaining infrastructure. All the questions based on these RCs were moderate and Q 116 was difficult. The set of questions (121-125) was based on sentence rearrangement. All the questions were moderate. The set of questions (126-130) was based on para-completion. All the questions were moderate except Q28, which was easy. The set of questions (141-150) was based on cloze test. All the questions were either easy or moderate except Q 145, which was difficult. One could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 40-42 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
ANALYTICAL & LOGICAL REASONING
Easy Questions:
28,32,35-39,41,45-48, 68-69, 78,80,82,84

Reasoning was of moderate level having 15 easy, 42 moderate and 18 difficult questions. Analytical Reasoning had 5 sets with 5 (1 easy, 4 medium), 6 (1 difficult, 5 medium), 7 (all 7 medium), 7 (all 3 medium, 4 difficult) and 5 (all 5 medium) questions respectively. The other topics were Symboperation (1 medium), Coding-decoding (3 easy, 2 medium), Syllogisms (3 medium, 4 difficult), Blood Relations & Directions (4 easy, 1 medium), Input / Output (5 medium, 1 difficult) and Data Sufficiency (1 medium, 4 difficult). In addition, some questions on Verbal reasoning (1 easy, 6 medium, 3 difficult. A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 48-50 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
ABSTRACT REASONING
Easy Questions:
1,3-5,8,14-15,18-19,25,10

Abstract Reasoning (Visual reasoning) was of moderate level having 10 easy, 8 moderate and 7 difficult questions. A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 18-19 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
QUANTITATIVE ABILITY
Easy Questions:
152, 179,180, 200

Quant was of medium level with 4 easy, 16 medium and 30 difficult questions. The topics which had maximum questions were Ratio 7 partnership (2 easy, 2 moderate & 6 Difficult) & P & C (1 easy, 7 difficult). Rest of the topics in Quantitative ability was covered by taking 1 to 2 questions each. Other topics were TSD (1 difficult), Geometry & Mensuration (1 easy), basic no. (1 easy), and Work & chain rule (1 medium). In DI, there was 1 set on Data caselets had 2 medium and 4 difficult questions. Then, a set on table graph had 1 medium and 5 difficult question. The other topics in Data Interpretation were Data sufficiency (all medium), Data Comparison (2 medium, 3 Difficult) and Series (2 medium, 4 difficult) questions. A student could have gathered 90 percentile plus by attempting 17-19 questions with 80% accuracy.

 
Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was easy. Now talking of strategy, as a general rule you should not get struck in any question unless you are sure about its solution. Taking the Reasoning section, AR & Visual Reasoning was mostly moderate & difficult and thus should be attempted at the end if the time is remaining. The general strategy for Quant section would be to solve easier questions and leave all the questions which were difficult or time consuming. Now talking of strategy, as a general rule you should not get struck in any question unless you are sure about its solution. In verbal section, focus should have been on verbal reasoning, reading comprehension and Grammar.
