Competency Assessment
A new Competency Test will now hold 50% weightage focusing on candidates’ abilities in problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills. This may include a psychometric test, a writing Ability Test and an easy level of Quant & Verbal tests. Students must put their best foot forward for this extremely important step in NMIMS selection process.
NMIMS Mumbai Selection Process 2025
The selection process at NMIMS Mumbai comprises four key stages each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's potential.
Stage 1: NMAT Exam
The first step in selection process is appearing for NMAT by GMAC exam. Candidates must secure a qualifying score to be eligible for further stages
Stage 2: Cutoff Qualification
NMIMS releases cutoff scores based on NMAT performance. Candidates who meet or exceed the cutoff scores are shortlisted for next stage.
Stage 3: Competency Assessment and Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates undergo the newly introduced Competency Assessment for final selection. This stage also includes personal interview to assess candidates' communication skills, leadership potential and problem-solving abilities.
Stage 4: Final Offer Letter
An official confirmation letter for NMIMS is offered to those students who successfully cleared all previous stages.
