Analysis: NMAT 2011
NMAT 2011 on a whole has been pretty much like the previous year. The good thing of the exam was that it allowed the student to decide the order in which they wanted to attempt the sections. After the tutorial a screen appears that showed all the 6 possible permutations of the section order. A student can chose among them. Overall the paper was of easy-moderate level. There is no negative marking. Candidates have the option to appear more than once (maximum of 3 attempts). NMAT will consider the best score of the candidate.

SECTIONAL - ANALYSIS
SECTION I: Quantitative Ability
Evaluation: This section covered entirely every topic of mathematics. Overall the section was easy to moderate. More weight age was given to co-ordinate geometry. It also included Data interpretation. Questions on DI were based on various graphs like Bar Graph, Tables, and Venn Diagram. Level was a bit difficult and tricky. A student could have attempted 48 questions in the given time.
SECTION II: Verbal Ability
Evaluation: Overall this section was very easy. A student having basic knowledge of grammar could have excelled in this section. The section included questions on Grammar, Reading Comprehension and English Usage. A good attempt would have been of 32 questions in the given time.
SECTION III: Logical Reasoning
Evaluation: The level of this section was easy to moderate. The section involved basic logical reasoning sets that included topics on Assertion & Reason, Syllogisms, Implication, Judgment, etc. One could easily attempt 40 questions in the given time.
