Analysis: NMAT 2010
NMAT 2010 was conducted in a window of 3 months. The pattern of the paper was same as that of the previous year having same number of questions. It was a computer based test. Overall the paper was of easy-moderate level. There is no negative marking. Candidates have the option to appear more than once (maximum of 3 attempts). NMAT will consider the best score of the candidate.

SECTION I: Quantitative Ability
Evaluation: The level of this section was moderate. There were 3 sets of Data Interpretation including questions on Line graphs, Pie chart & Bar graphs questions were on data sufficiency. Rest were on averages, mixture, percentages, profit & loss, time & work, Speed Distance time, simple and compound interest, quadratic equation, geometry, etc.
SECTION II: Verbal Ability
Evaluation: Overall this section was very easy. A student having basic knowledge of grammar could have excelled in this section. The section included questions on Para jumbles, fill in the blanks, Cloze test, Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies, English usage, etc. It also included 2 reading comprehension passages with 4 questions each.
SECTION III: Logical Reasoning
Evaluation: The level of this section was easy to moderate. The section involved basic logical reasoning sets that included topics on blood relation, syllogism, input/output, direction, decoding, action, assertion, assumption, conclusion, matrix, Venn diagram, sitting arrangement, critical reasoning, odd man out, etc.
