SNAP 2023 Analysis Test 3 (22 Dec)

SNAP test is a computer-based test and will be conducted on three scheduled dates in 2023. Based on our SNAP 2023 analysis, the pattern this year was almost same as that of last year.  The first scheduled date was 10 December 2023 and exam was based on pattern as declared by SIU (Deemed) on its website. A candidate can appear for a maximum of two tests for SNAP 2023.
First Impressions of Day-1 (10th December,2023)
English section was the easiest among all. It was dominated by grammar-based and vocabulary questions. Analytical & Logical reasoning section was easy to slightlymoderate. This section, like last year, was dominated by verbal/critical reasoning, series and blood relation-based questions. The level of difficulty of Quant section was same as it was last year but questions this time were a little calculation intensive. Overall time management and selection of questions would have played a major role in clearing cut-offs.  The admit cards for various slots were released a day before the exam date.  The overall feel of the exam was easy to slightly moderate. Based on our SNAP 2023 analysis, the exam is easier than the previous year, so expected cutoffs will be slightly higher than that of previous year. The result will be announced on 10 Jan 2024.
The schedule for 2023 SNAP exam was as follow:

SECTIONAL – ANALYSIS
SECTION I: General English
The pattern of this section was similar to that of last year. This year also comprehension passages were not given.  Like last year, there was a poem in this section and the questions based on them were based on grammar fundamentals This section was primarily dominated by grammar-based questions, i.e., parts of speech-based questions in the form of fill in the blanks, voice &speech etc. One or two compound words and spelling-based questions are also asked in this section.  This time figures of speech questions were also there.  The dictionary order-based questions were asked but with the direction ‘arrange the words in ‘lexicographic order’, which means same as dictionary order. One or two sentence ordering questions were there in both the slots. The new element ‘collocation’ words were asked in Slot 1 and this was a new type that was asked. Overall, in both the slots pattern & difficulty level were almost similar. The overall feel of this section was easy.
Based on our SNAP 2023 Analysis a good attempt is 12-14 questions
SECTION II: Analytical & Logical Reasoning
The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. The section included questions on, coding/decoding, blood relations, logical order and missing numbers/letters This section was dominated by verbal& critical reasoning as there were 9-10 questions based on these areas, such as assumption, arguments, inference /conclusion, cause & effect etc. There were a few puzzles (family tree) based questions in this section. There was one decision-making questio in both the slots. There were 3 & 2 questions based on series & coding -and decoding respectively. The series questions were based on number. Letters or combined, were a little tricky to be solved under time pressure. There were 2 questions on clocks and both were easy.  There were questions on Syllogism. Again, both the slots had almost similar patterns with a little variation in the level of difficulty as reported by the students. Only the right selection of questions would have played a key role in maximizing the attempts. Overall feel of the section was moderate.
Based on our SNAP 2023 Analysis a good attempt is 19-21 questions
SECTION III: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
This section was moderate as the questions in both the slots were calculation intensive.  This section had the questions from conventional areas such as Percentage, Ratio partnership, Number series, Set theory, Average, Permutation, and Probability etc. There was one DI based question, which was on slightly difficult side as it was calculation intensive.Surprisingly most of the questions had none of the above’ as one of the options and students were therefore supposed to solve the questions to get the answers. This made the section time consuming. Overall, this section was dominated by Arithmetic & Modern Mathematics with around 14 -15 questions. The second dominant area was Geometry with three questions based on it.   However, using options wisely would definitely have played key role in maximizing the score in this section. Overall, the feel of the section was moderate and selection of questions was important to get hold on the paper.
Based on our SNAP 2023 Analysis a good attempt is 14-16 questions

Based on our SNAP 2023 analysis, the pattern for day 2 was almost the same as that of day 1. Test 2 was conducted in a single shift this time. Hitbullseye’s SNAP analysis 2023 will provide you with the details of the overall difficulty level, section-wise weightage, and a good attempt.
First Impression: SNAP 2023 Analysis Test 2
In this slot as well there were only Objective Type (MCQ) questions as announced by SIU. English section was yet again the easiest of all the sections. It was dominated by grammar-based and vocabulary questions. The Analytical and Logical Reasoning section was similar to what it was on the previous session on 10th Dec. This section, like last year, was dominated by verbal/critical reasoning, series and blood relation-based questions. Overall, time management and selection of questions would have played a major role in clearing cut-offs. The admit cards for various slots were released a day before the exam date. The overall feel of the exam was easy to moderate. As the exam was almost similar to the previous day, the expected cutoffs are also expected to be similar to that as well.
The result will be announced on 10 Jan 2024.
