On the whole the level of the test was moderate. The important factor was selection of appropriate questions to attempt. The quant section was easier than reasoning section in this test. Verbal section was moderate to tough. One peculiar thing in this paper was that there were clusters of easy, moderate and difficult questions, so one had to skip the difficult cluster and to move to easy & medium level cluster quickly. The key to getting a good percentile was time management and selection of questions.
The first passage (1-4) based on ‘Zepto, founded by Kailvalya Vohra and Aadit Palicha in 2021, rapidly expanded to 10 cities by leveraging a strong leadership team and focusing on fast, reliable grocery delivery’, was inferential in terms of understanding. The questions based on it were all moderate except Q3, which was easy. The second passage ( 5-8) based on ‘ Karl Popper, a prominent 20th-century philosopher of science, developed the falsificationist methodology to distinguish scientific theories from non-science and made notable contributions to probability, quantum mechanics, and the social sciences’, was slightly tricky to understand. The questions based on it were either moderate or easy. The third passage (9-12) based on ‘The debate over population control resurfaced in India after Uttar Pradesh and Assam introduced two-child policies, despite research showing such policies disproportionately harmed marginalized groups and women’ was again very inferential in term of understanding and questions based on it were either moderate or difficult except Q14, which was easy. The fourth passage (13-16) ‘reflected on the virtues of mischief, highlighting how mischievous people, with their playful and light-hearted nature, contributed to making the world more interesting, humorous, and even politically impactful’. The passage was slightly tricky but an interesting read. The questions based on it were either moderate or difficult except Q14, which was easy. The questions (17-19) based on finding the summary of the passage were a mixed bag. The questions (20-22) were based on finding the best placement for the given sentence. Again the questions were either difficult or moderate except Q22, which was easy. The last two questions (23 & 24) based on finding the misfit were moderate. Overall feel of the section was moderate to tough. However, one could have easily scored 90+ percentile by attempting 16-18 questions with 75-80% accuracy.

The overall feel of the paper was moderate, and for the students who knew how to manage the time available to the best i.e., not wasting much time in lengthy and difficult questions, could have easily managed an overall good attempt. Most of the questions in quant section were from Arithmetic, Algebra, Number system and Geometry. For verbal section, one should have good reading speed & comprehension skills as there were 4 RCs based on different areas and also a few questions based on other areas such as summary, best-fit & odd one out. One must focus on contextual vocabulary to understand the key ideas and score well in passages & summary-based questions. Questions such as Best-fit & misfit require analysis and knowledge of tricks to answer the questions.
