Overall Brief

On the whole the level of the test was moderate. The test contained many moderate and difficult questions and hence the important factor was selection of appropriate questions to attempt. The Quant section was comparatively hard than DI. One peculiar thing in this paper was that there were clusters of medium and difficult questions, so one had to skip the difficult cluster and to move to medium difficulty level cluster quickly. Verbal section was moderate to difficult. The key to getting a good percentile was time management and selection of questions.

Easy Questions:
1, 4, 9, 10, 13, 19, 20-22

The first passage (1-4) based on ‘reflection on quest for longevity with the help from biology & advanced technology’ was slightly tricky to understand and question based on it were a mixed bag. The passage (5-8) based on ‘critical analysis of repercussions & essence of victory’ was moderate to difficult to understand & questions based on it were also moderate. The third passage (9-12) based on ‘political journey of Nehru & a few pitfalls associated with it’ was easy. However, questions based on it were either easy or moderate. The fourth passage (13-16) based on ‘evaluation of freedom of expression especially something said against national heroes’ was a little difficult to understand. The questions (17 & 18) based on sentence rearrangement were difficult. The questions (19 & 20) based on finding summary were easy. The questions (21 & 22) based on finding misfit were easy. The questions (23 & 24) based on best – fit were moderate. The overall feel of the section was moderate to tough. However one could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting 18-20 questions with 75% accuracy.

DI & REASONING
Easy Questions:
30, 31, 32, 33, 34

The difficulty level of DI was Moderate. There were 5 easy, 7 medium and 8 difficult questions in this section. The second set (A professional juggler) was a must do. By attempting a couple of questions from rest of the blocks, one could have fetched a very good percentile.

In this section, one could have fetched 90+ percentile by attempting 6-10 questions with approx. 80% accuracy.

Quantitative Ability
Easy Questions:
47, 59, 61

Students found this section easier than DI this time. The Quantitative section had 3easy, 9medium and 10 difficult questions. Selection of questions was important to crack this section. There were questions from varied topics like Geometry, Basic Numbers, Basic Algebra, Progression And Series, Arithmetic (Percentages/Time and Work/Mixtures/Percentages/SI-CI/Ratios).

A good student could have scored 90+ percentile by attempting around 7 - 10questions with approx. 80% accuracy.

Strategy & Tips

The overall feel of the paper was moderate. The Quant section was little hard than DI. For verbal section, one should have good reading skills as there were 4 RC’s and also a few questions based on paragraph summary. One must focus on contextual vocabulary as well to understand and score well in RC passages. Questions such as sentence rearrangement and misfit require analysis and knowledge of tricks to answer the questions. It is not advisable to spend too much time on TITA questions especially in the verbal section.
