MH-CET –MBA is a state level entrance exam for admission into the MBA colleges of Maharashtra. CET is followed by CAP (Common Admission Process) for the final admission to MBA/MMS programs. SIMSREE (Sydenham), K.J Somaiya, Welingkar and PUMBA are some reputed institutes under CET. The final admissions are based on only the written test scores and there is no GD PI round after that. The only step required after the exam is that the students have to verify their documents through ARC’s (Authorized Registration Centre). The only Institute under MH-CET that conducts a GD/ PI round is JBIMS, Mumbai.
JBIMS has a legacy of 44 years. The B school is located in the heart of Mumbai in Churchgate area and this advantage can never fade as it is the centre of commercial activity. Placements at JBIMS are spectacular in terms of companies visiting campus and profiles being offered apart from achieving 100% placement year after year. It is one of the top ranked institutes under MH-CET.
Last Year, approximately 1700 candidates were called for In-Person Assessment (GD/ PI) based on their application rating score. The Total score was made up of Application rating score and the In-Person Assessment score. ARS was weighed 60% and the In-Person Assessment 40%. The students were asked to go through WAT, GD and PI stage and based on the final merit 120 admissions were given.
The application rating scores comprised of MH-CET performance, past academic records up to graduation, work experience, extracurricular activity and the academic and Gender Diversity.
Following is the detailed break up of various parameters used by JBIMS for final admissions:
