Based on MAT score, the colleges under MAT screen the students for the further screening rounds. Clearing the MAT cutoff is important because unless a certain minimum score is achieved, the candidate will not get a call for an interview. Every institute determines its cut-off on the basis of various factors like their ranking, quality of education, programmes, number of test-takers, difficulty level of exam, etc.
