MAT 2020 Notification: Important Dates

AIMA has announced MAT 2020 PBT exam date. The MAT December 2020 PBT Exam is scheduled on 6 December 2020. The registrations for the same have begun and the last date to apply is 29 November 2020. Admit Card for MAT 2020 PBT Exam will be available on the official website of AIMA on 1 December 2020 from 4:00 PM. Besides, MAT 2020 IBT exam schedule has been extended until 15 December 2020. Management aspirants can apply for the last IBT Exam by 11 December 2020. Admit Card for MAT IBT Exam will be available on 12 December 2020 from 2:00 PM.
Due to COVID outbreak, AIMA announced that MAT 2020 would be conducted in a different testing mode, i.e. IBT, which is a Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test. Management aspirants can register for MAT 2020 IBT exam until 11 December 2020.
Management aspirants can register themselves for IBT MAT 2020 and PBT MAT 2020 as announced by AIMA. Aspirants can apply for either One Remote Proctored Internet Based Test or Double Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test.

IBT MAT 2020 Registrations
Registration for IBT MAT 2020 is open for all for the December session. The last date to register for IBT MAT 2020 for December 15 exam is December 11, 2020. The Internet- Based Exam was introduced by AIMA to avoid COVID spread during the lockdown and provide an opportunity to the management aspirants in these difficult times.
IBT MAT 2020 starting from November 21, 2020 will be conducted in two slots, i.e. Morning and Evening slot. Candidates have the facility to appear for One or two IBT MAT 2020 by paying extra registration fees of Rs. 1100/-. You can follow the important guidelines and facts mentioned below.

IBT MAT 2020 Important Guidelines and Benefits
  • Aspirants can appear for either One Remote Proctored Internet Based Test or Double Remote Proctored Internet Based Test.
  • If you opt for 1 IBT MAT 2020, you have to pay Rs. 1650/-. If you opt for 2 IBT MAT 2020, have to pay additional Rs. 1100 along with first test fees.
  • While opting for 1 IBT MAT 2020 exam, you can select 5 management institutes where your score can be sent for admissions.
  • However, when opting for 2 IBT MAT 2020 exam, you get an additional benefit of selecting 2 Management Institution extra for sending MAT score along with 5 selected institutes.
  • The last date to apply for IBT MAT 2020 for December session is December 11, 2020.
The new IBT MAT 2020 starts from November 21, 2020 onwards, which will be conducted in two slots daily.

MAT 2020 Paper Based Test (PBT) Important Points for 2020:
  • Students keen to appear for Paper Based Test should note that Registrations MAT 2020 PBT will end on 29 November, 2020
  • Admit cards for MAT 2020 PBT will be available from 1 December 2020.

IBT MAT 2020: Key Features
AIMA introduced “Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test” for MAT 2020 exam with effect from May 2020 to safeguard the candidates against COVID-19 spread. PBT MAT 2020 exam will be conducted from 21 November 2020. CBT MAT 2020 dates are yet to be announced. Here are the key features of the IBT MAT 2020 that you must keep in your mind:
  • Test-takers can safely appear for MAT 2020 from the comfort of their homes other than going to centers to prevent COVID spread.

  • AIMA has effectively maintained the security and sanctity of the test through remote proctoring by employing powerfully built AI based tools that serve as human proctors.
  • To make candidates familiar with the new exam pattern, AIMA has arranged Mock IBT MAT 2020 test sessions at nominal rates.
  • Mock tests will help them get familiar with new exam environment and understand the same to effectively prepare for the exam.

IBT MAT 2020: Key Requirements
Test-takers must fulfill these requirements to be eligible to appear for the IBT MAT 2020.
  • The room you sit in for the exam must be well lit with proper lighting on your face and silence should be maintained.
  • Also, you must ensure that no other person neither enters your room nor interferes during the exam.
  • No electronic devices like your mobile or any other gadgets should be in use at the time of exam.
  • Having a computer or laptop with a webcam is necessary.
  • You must have a stable internet connection speed with a minimum speed of 512 kbps is required.
  • Supported browsers for the exam are Google Chrome Version-63 and above and Firefox-Version 52 and above.
  • Windows operating system required must be Windows 7 OS & and above.
  • Minimum supported version of Dot NET framework should be 4.5.1. NET Framework.
  • Required free space on device must be 65 MB permanent free space on default hard drive.
CBT & PBT MAT 2020: Important Information:
The December PBT MAT 2020 Exam will be held on 6 December 2020. However, candidates should note that due to the prevailing COVID situation, if the test cannot be administered on the scheduled date, then the registration is valid for the upcoming MAT schedule in February 2021.
The difficulty level of MAT is comparatively less than CAT, XAT, IIFT, and other such exams. The number of exam applicants increases every year. Further, there is no age limit to appear for the exam.
Some of the top B-schools such as Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras, Great Lakes Institutes of Management Chennai, and Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Mumbai accept MAT scores, etc. The validity of MAT score is one year. Since MAT is conducted after an interval of three months in a year, it provides a good chance to the aspirants to bag admission into the top MBA colleges.
