CMAT 2022: Exam Analysis
The CMAT examination paper contained 100 questions divided into 5sections. For every correct answer, 4 marks are rewarded, and for every wrong answer, -1 is deducted. Below mentioned is the CMAT 2022 Exam Analysis in detail.
Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
The section wasmore or less the same in terms of the level of difficulty in comparison to the previous year. This sectionwas dominated by Arithmeticfollowed by the Data Interpretation section& Algebra.  The section did not have questions on functions, progressions, or logarithm.  One question on probability was wrong as the options were not correct. The section was easy to moderate as most of the questions were doable. An attempt of 16-18 questions with 90% accuracy could have been considered good.
Logical Reasoning
This section was again easy to moderate. The section was manageable, and candidates could have been able to attempt 15-16 questions. Major topics that dominated the section were Series, Rank and Order, and Blood relations.  There were a few questions on verbal reasoning based on Assertion/Reason & Assumption. The question on critical reasoning was slightly tricky. A good attempt in this section will be 17-18 questions to ace the section with a great score.

Language Comprehension
There was one Reading comprehension passage based on infrastructure management with 4 questions. The passage was easy to understand and questions based on it were also easy.  The section was dominatedby vocabulary-based questions (8-10) comprising antonyms, synonyms, idioms, & spellings, etc.  There was only one question on sentence rearrangement. The remaining questions were based on grammar & usage. The overall feel of the section was easy to moderate.  To get a good score, the candidate must have attempted 16-17 questions with at least 70% accuracy
General Awareness
It was a difficult section as compared to others. The section was dominated by Static G. K’squestions (15-16) like awards, history, sports, science, books, and civics.  The remaining 4-5 questions were based on the current GK. Most of the questions were based on the Indian context. However, candidates who would have attempted 10-12 with good accuracy will ace the section.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This section did not have passage-based questions and it came as a surprise. Again, this section was dominated by static GK-based questions (12-14) and the remaining was based on current issues. The section covered areas such as business, economics and government policies, etc. The overall feel of the section was difficult. The attempt of 12-14 would have been considered good.
