IBSAT registration for new candidates started on July 1, 2026, on the official website at https://admissions.ibsindia.org/ibsat/index.aspx. The IBSAT application form is common for all 9 IBS campuses for MBA/PGPM programs. Aspirants can apply online or offline with the application fee of ₹1,800.
The official IBSAT 2026 mock tests are running from July 25, 2026, to December 9, 2026, with one mock test each month. In total, there are six mock tests. Out of these, two have already been completed, and the next mock test is scheduled for September 26, 2026. Register on the official website and take the free mock test at your convenience. The IBSAT Entrance will be conducted in the fourth week of December 2026, over a window of two days, while the result will be released in the first week of January 2027.
The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) Business School conducts IBSAT for its nine IBS Campuses. IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur offer an MBA program, and others (IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune) offer PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management).
IBSAT Registration Dates 2026
IBSAT registration window opened on July 1, 2026. The last date of registration has not been announced yet. The official website mentions the last date as the third week of December 2026 (tentative). General Guidelines for IBSAT Registration
These are the general guidelines. Read these points before you open the form. IBSAT Registration is valid only on ibsindia.org, ibsat.org, or admissions.ibsindia.org/ibsat/registration.
- Candidates have to check their eligibility first. Candidates must have graduated with at least 50% marks, with English as the medium of instruction, and have completed minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). Final-year students may apply if they finish the degree by the date in that year’s brochure.
- Keep a working email and mobile number. IBS sends the application number, password, and later call letters to those contacts.
- Use your name, date of birth, and marks as per their Class 10, 12, and graduation records.
- Convert CGPA only as the application guidelines say. If the college has no conversion chart, the IBS note is: (CGPA ÷ maximum CGPA) × 100.
- Decide before you submit whether you will sit for IBSAT 2026 or enter a CAT, XAT, NMAT, or GMAT score from 2024 onwards. You can update that national test score on the same form until January 31, 2027.
- Pay ₹1,800 as registration fees. The same form covers all nine campuses. There is no separate fee by category in IBSAT.
- After payment, change the default password before you fill out the rest of the form.
- Upload a recent color passport photograph in the size and format printed on ibsindia.org/application-guidelines. Do not use a screenshot of an ID.
- Complete an offline purchase at an IBS branch only if you then log in with the scratch-card number and finish the same online form.
- IBSAT is a two-hour remote-proctored test from home. Do not look for a city-center list on this form.
- Save the application number. Quote it in any mail to ibsat@ibsindia.org.
The form does not confirm admission. Shortlisting for a micro presentation and personal interview comes after the test or after you lock an accepted national test score.
IBSAT Registration Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can complete IBSAT Registration for MBA or PGPM if they hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and English as the medium of instruction, plus minimum 15 years of education on a 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern. Final-year students may apply. IBS checks these rules from August 2027. The form itself does not prove eligibility, but these are the common eligibility criteria for all 9 IBS campuses.
What IBS requires for MBA / PGPM
- Graduation in any discipline with 50% and above.
- English as the medium of instruction at graduation.
- If the degree was not taught in English, submit TOEFL, NELT, or IELTS by May 31, 2027.
- Minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4).
- Final-year applicants must finish all graduation work, including practicals, viva and assignments, before May 31, 2027.
- Mark sheets and the degree certificate must be submitted by November 1, 2027. Until then, the offer stays provisional.
Work experience is not required to register. IBS does not print an upper age limit on this MBA/PGPM list.
IBSAT Registration 2026
You can apply for the IBSAT application form online or offline. Read on to learn the step-by-step process for IBSAT 2026 registration.
Online Registration
- Go to the official website (https://general.ibsindia.org/),
- Click on the “Apply to IBS” button.
- Fill in all the details and pay the application fee (Rs. 1,800) by debit card/credit card or net banking. You will receive a hard copy of the IBSAT Bulletin within one week.
- After a successful transaction, the candidates will receive an email with an application number and a password.
- Log in with the credentials to fill out the IBSAT application form 2026. Candidates have to change their password before filling out the application form.
Offline Registration
- You can purchase the IBSAT application form 2026 from any IBS Marketing Branch by paying the application fee of Rs. 1,800.
- The IBSAT form includes a scratch card with the application number and password.
- Then, visit the official website and log in with these credentials to fill out the IBSAT 2026 application form. Candidates must change the password before filling out the application form.
IBSAT Registration Fee 2026
The IBSAT registration fee for 2026 is ₹1,800. Candidates have to pay this once. The same fee covers MBA and PGPM at all nine IBS campuses. IBS does not offer a lower fee for reserved categories. The offline registration for the bulletin at an IBS branch is also ₹1,800.
Pay only on the official gateway after you start the form at admissions.ibsindia.org/ibsat/registration, or in cash at a listed IBS branch if you buy the bulletin there. Card, net banking, and UPI options appear on the online gateway at the time of payment.
Campus fees are listed separately on ibsindia.org. After payment, you get an application number and password. Change that password, then finish the form. Keep the payment receipt and application number for any email to ibsat@ibsindia.org.
IBSAT Registration 2026: Things to Remember
Candidates can complete IBSAT Registration 2026 without visiting a campus. If you still want a printed pack, IBS sells an official bulletin at its marketing and FTP branches. The bulletin is not a second application. It only gives you an application number and password so you can finish the same online form.
- While filling out the IBSAT application form, enter your personal information (Name, DOB, mobile number, email address, residential/postal address, etc.) and click the Submit button.
- You can choose the program as per the eligibility criteria.
- Enter the mandatory details including personal and academic information.
- You can also choose the date and venue for the selection process.
Uploading photograph
- You must upload a recent, passport-size, colored photograph. The photo size should not exceed 25KB and should be approximately 140–160 pixels.
- The photo should be in JPEG or GIF format.
Entrance Exam Score to Apply for IBS Business Schools
- Candidates need to specify through which exam they want to apply (either through IBSAT or GMAT, CAT or NMAT by GMAC). Since 2024, IBS also accepts CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT scores.
Completing the IBSAT 2026 Application Form
- Click “I Agree” on the declaration statement, then click the “Submit” button.
- You will be forwarded to the final page, wherein you need to log in with your credentials.
- You can view the entered information and then schedule your IBSAT 2026 exam.
IBSAT admit cards will be available in December 2026. Only registered candidates can download the IBSAT 2026 admit card. Its test centres will be located in over 20 cities across India.
What happens after IBSAT Registration?
After you pay ₹1,800 and submit IBSAT Registration, IBS emails you an application number and password. Log in, change that password, and finish every academic field. The form is complete only after that submit screen, not after payment alone.
Use the same login for official IBSAT mock tests. IBS usually opens remote mocks on fixed dates before the exam (recent public lists have shown September, October, November, and early December). Appear for those mocks on the official interface so you know the home-proctored setup before December. If you need more practice, add extra full-length IBSAT mocks of 140 questions in 120 minutes. Review every paper the same day.
Slot booking and the admit card also appear on this login. The test is a two-hour, remote-proctored paper from home in the fourth week of December 2026, with the same exam pattern: 140 questions and 140 marks in 120 minutes, with no negative marking. If you chose CAT, XAT, NMAT or GMAT instead of IBSAT, you do not sit this paper. You only lock that score on the form by January 31, 2027.
IBSAT results are listed for the first week of January 2027 (tentative). Shortlisted candidates are called for selection briefings in January and for micro presentation and personal interview in the second to third week of February 2027 at IBS Hyderabad.

Q. How do I apply for IBSAT exams?

Q. Should I register for ICFAI's IBSAT exam if I’m in my final year of graduation?
A. Register if you have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% or more, English as the medium of instruction, and 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). Final-year students may apply if they complete the degree, including practicals and viva, by May 31, 2027. Work experience is not required. The PhD at IBS Hyderabad is a separate form.
Q. Do I need to apply for IBSAT even if I qualify with my CAT and NMAT score?
A. Yes. A CAT or NMAT score from 2024 onwards can replace the IBSAT paper, but you still complete IBSAT Registration and pay ₹1,800. Enter that score on the same form. You may update it till 31 January 2027. Without this form, IBS will not use your CAT or NMAT score.
Q. Do I need to apply to each MBA/PGPM college separately even if I qualify through IBSAT?
A. No. One IBSAT Registration covers all nine campuses: MBA at Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun and Jaipur, and PGPM at Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. You do not file nine applications. Campus allotment comes after the test or accepted national-level test score, plus micro presentation and PI.
