IMI Kolkata offers Post- Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) which is approved by AICTE and considered equivalent to the MBA programme. Students pursuing PGDM course at IMI Kolkata gain an in-depth understanding of management concepts while acquiring analytical and problem-solving skills. Apart from the rigorous academic curriculum that students have to follow, the college also stresses the holistic development of students. Many activities are conducted by the college authorities that help students in building team spirit, leadership qualities, stress management skills and lastly help in developing a  positive attitude. Students have to follow a trimester system at IMI Kolkata, whereby they are required to complete a summer internship. To be eligible for PGDM admission, a student should have completed his or her graduation in any academic discipline and then has to appear for management entrances. CAT, GMAT or XAT scores are accepted for the intake of students to the IMI’s Post- Graduate Diploma in Management. Past academic achievements are also taken into consideration, along with personal Interview and essay writing performance of the candidate. There is a provision for admission of company-sponsored candidates to the PGDM course at IMI.
