Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) founded in 1979 is a leading B-School in the country. LIBA was built within the premises of Loyola College and was managed by the Jesuits, who are renowned for their excellent contribution in education. LIBA offers a two-year fulltime Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme, part-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Management and various other diplomas, short term courses, and certificate programmes along with customised management development programmes. The PGDM programme at LIBA spans over two years, with six trimesters. The institute arranges workshops, seminars and field trips for the exposure to the business landscape. However, the students must do a 12-week internship at a business house to get an understanding of how a company works. Besides, the student will learn to deal with the problems and apply the theoretical knowledge to resolve it. Interactions with various employees of different fields will open up their mind, and they can choose a specific area to master. In the coming years, the university will introduce new programmes in PGDM with specialisation in Business Analytics, Healthcare Management and Logistics.
