All about ATMA - AIMS Test for Management Admissions

What is ATMA?
ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by AIMS (Association of Indian Management School). It is a single-window test held for admission to various post-graduate programs like  MBA, PGDM, MMS, etc. The exam is scheduled 4-5 times in a year. More than 500 colleges in India accept ATMA scores for admissions.
At one time, almost 20,000 candidates appear for ATMA. The difficulty level of the exam is less than that of CAT, XAT, etc. and almost equivalent to exams like CMAT, MAT, etc.

What is the structure of ATMA?
ATMA is conducted in an AI and Live Human Proctored Home-based Online Test comprising 180 objective questions. The test is framed to evaluate the students on the basis of their verbal, quantitative and reasoning skills. Each question carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer. The candidates have 3 hours to solve 6 sections, with each section being allotted a time limit of 30 minutes. Broadly, there are three main sections, namely:

The exam result is declared shortly after it is conducted. The scorecard displays your sectional and overall percentile in ATMA. ATMA score is valid for one year from the particular exam date. Most MBA colleges have a cut-off in the 70-95 percentile range. Once you are shortlisted based on your percentile, you are called for further selection processes- Essay Writing Test, Group Discussion/Exercise and Personal Interview.
When is ATMA conducted?
ATMA is conducted multiple times in a year, in the months of February, April, May, August/September and December. The exam has already been conducted for the month of February 2024. The notifications will be released for the May session soon. The exam is expected to be conducted on 11 May 2024. The candidates will be required to register online on the official website: www.atmaaims.com. Registrations are expected to begin by April 2024. You will find the detailed notification, important dates, fees and other essential information on the official website.
AIMS usually releases the admit cards three days before the exam. You will be able to download it soon before the exam day. ATMA is held across more than 30 cities in India. Candidates can download their scorecards after the results are declared and apply to the desired institutes accordingly.
Who can appear for ATMA?
Like any other MBA entrance test, there is no age limit specified for ATMA. Any candidate with Bachelor's degree from a UGC-recognized university/college or CA can apply for the exam. Further, final-year students are also eligible for ATMA.
Which colleges accept ATMA scores?
ATMA scores are accepted by 500+ Management Institutions in India. These institutes may be autonomous, University departments or private PGDM colleges. Also, all the unaided private MBA institutes of Maharashtra take ATMA scores for MBA admissions in the All-India category.
