The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (Deemed to be University) that has emerged as a National University with a focus on International Business Management and strategy. The focus is reflected in all the significant activities that the institute process: Research, Training, and Education. The objective behind setting up IIFT was to impart knowledge and professional education in modern management techniques, which are relevant for International Business. The programme introduced by the institute, MBA (IB) is a weekend programme. With their introduction of this programme, IIFT added a new dimension to its role in the field of professional education. The plan was specially designed for the working executives who could attend classes on weekends. The programme contains nine trimesters spread over three years. The institute has helped many executives find a platform to succeed and become a business leader.
