University Business School (formerly, Department of Commerce and Business Management) is a part of the Panjab University, Chandigarh. The institute is among the top Business Schools of the country. UBS has been recognized by UGC under Special Assistance Programme for the various thrust areas, like Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Business Finance-Social Responsibility and Human Resources Accounting, Investment Decision Making and Innovative Financing.
The institute offers two years full-time courses including MBA, MBA-IB, MBA-HR and MBA for executives (MBAfEX). UBS shortlists candidates on the basis of their CAT percentile, except for MBAfEX (for which it conducts its own entrance test).
CAT cut off for UBS is around 90 percentile. Also, the candidate needs to have a minimum of 10% score in each section. The shortlisted candidates are then called to appear for group discussion and personal interview. In the final selection, the weightage given to different variables are as follows:
