K.J Somaiya Cut Off

The K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Mumbai runs courses like PGDM (General), PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Retail), PGDM (Financial Services) and PGDM (Executive) programmes. The specializations for the PGDM programme (General) in the second year are Marketing, Finance, HRM, Operations & Supply Chain. Life at SIMSR is a unique experience, with a focus on academic rigour to impart the knowledge and skills to enable them to handle diverse business situations. SIMSR shortlists candidates on the basis of cut offs determined by the CAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT scores. The cutoff percentile to qualify for the second stage varies from year to year. There is no sectional cut off as part of the K J Somaiya's cut off score. The official figures are declared at the time of admission. 

This year, the cut off figures for various tests are:

CAT: 87 percentile

XAT: 75 percentile

CMAT: 97 percentile

GMAT: 550-600 marks

In the second round, the candidates are assessed on Case Analysis/GD, Interview, Work Experience, Academics, Outstanding Achievements and Statement of Purpose. Those with sports/academic/creative talent are given additional marks. In the final selection, SIMSR places 35% weightage to entrance exam score and the rest of the weightage is given to above stated variables.
