IIM Lucknow uses multiple parameters to select candidates for its PGP and PGP- ABM programmes. Its cutoff figures are based on the overall and sectional scores in the CAT. To select candidates, IIM Lucknow uses a mix of parameters, including CAT scores, scores in interview, group discussion and written analysis, work experience, diversity and other achievements. The government guidelines on reservation of seats for SC/ ST/ OBC and differently abled are duly followed by IIM Lucknow.
CAT cut-off is usually different for different MBA/PGDM specialisations offered at IIM-L. Here, we are providing the CAT 2021 percentile cut offs for the three major courses. For the coming session 2022, the cut-off will stay nearly the same.

IIM Lucknow has placed different weightages on CAT score (30-35%), work experience, academics, WAT and PI. For PGP-SM, a minimum work experience of 24 months is also required. IIM Lucknow adopts a two-pronged selection process for MBA admissions. The first phase is to determine who all are to be called for personal interview (PI) and written analysis. The topics typically reflect political, economic, business affairs and sports. Some creative topics may also be included. The interview panel evaluates each candidate on academic performance, experience, personality and other traits. The composite final score of the written analysis and the personal interview, apart from CAT scores, form the basis for the final merit list. It has to be noted that merely clearing the IIM Lucknow Cut Off is not enough as one has to achieve good scores in the second phase also.
