IIFM-Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (Bhopal)

The Indian Institute of Forest Management is a sectoral management institute which offers Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management. The IIFM (Bhopal) endeavours to evolve knowledge useful for the managers in the area of Forest, Environment and Natural Resources Management and allied sectors. Apart from Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (PGDSM), there are other courses also which the IIFM offers such as Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM), M.Phil in Natural Resource Management(M.Phil.NRM), Fellow Programme in Management. There was a need for qualified management professionals in the area of Forest, Environment, and Natural resources Management and allied sectors therefore in 1982, “The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM)” was established. The institute was established due to a cohesive effort of many organizations. In the area of Forest, Environment, and Natural resources Management, it was observed that there was a shortage of workforce who was equipped to handle such responsibilities .IIFM imparts training in management to personnel from Indian Forest Service, Forest Departments, Forest Development Corporation and Forest related industries. IIFM is considered one of the best institutes providing post-graduate degree, and to take admission in this institute, one has to appear for CAT or XAT. Secondly, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for personal interviews and written ability test.
