The Principal LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai runs many courses like PGDM, PGDM e-Business, PGDM Business Design, PGDM Retail Management, PGDM Healthcare and PGDM Rural Management. The institute short-lists candidates on the basis of the Welingkar cutoff figures as determined by CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ MH-CET/ GMAT scores. After shortlisting, candidates are invited for further selection processes. However, clearing the cut off figures is not enough as this is just a basic hurdle which one has to cross before reaching one's final destination. The college follows profile based as well as non-profile based shortlisting. This year, the cut off figures are around the following percentile/score:
CAT/XAT: 80 percentile
CMAT/ATMA/CET: 90-95 percentile
GMAT: 600 marks
The Institute, on the basis of the percentile provided by the student, will assign a score out of 100 using a normalization process. The test components at the second stage are Group discussion (GD), Personal interview and Essay writing. In the final selection, 35% weightage is given to entrance exam score while the rest of the weightage is assigned to profile and GD-PI-WAT score.
