ATMA 2021 Analysis

ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) was successfully conducted on 30th May, 2021 from 2 PM – 5 PM. The exam was held in an AI and Live Human Proctored Home-based Online Test. Check the ATMA 2021 May Session analysis in this article.
ATMA is a national-level examination that is conducted for admissions to management programmes like PGDM, MBA, MMS, etc. The exam is conducted in the online mode and comprises of 180 questions divided into 3 sections. Each of the section has two sub-sections making it a total of 6 sections. The marking scheme followed in the exam is +1 for every correct answer and -0.25 for every wrong answer.

ATMA 2021: Exam Highlights
  • The exam was conducted in an AI and Live Human Proctored Home-based Online Test.
  • Candidates were asked to show their admit card and valid ID proof in the camera.
  • After 2 hours of the exam, candidates could see the submit button.
  • The exam was conducted in a single slot from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM with one washroom break.

This section was a little different from the previous year’s examinations. Last year, the candidates witnessed questions from vocabulary, which were not seen in ATMA 2021. Likewise, no direct questions about synonyms or antonyms were asked. However, the second part of the section was lengthy because it contained questions from Reading Comprehensions. A good attempt for both the sections could be 37 – 42 questions.

The section was wholly based on critical reasoning questions. 15-18 questions asked in this section were from critical reasoning. The section also had questions from different topics like Input and Output, Coding and Decoding, Puzzles etc. The level of difficulty of this section was moderate, though some of the questions were lengthy and tricky.

As usual, this was the toughest section to be attempted. Most of the questions asked were from algebra, number system, profit and loss etc. the section was difficult because of lengthy and time-consuming tricky questions. The level of difficulty of this section was high. A good attempt in this section will be 40 – 44 questions.
