IIM Kozhikode's admission criteria for its Post Graduate Programme are based on CAT scores, Group Discussion (GD) or Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) and individual profile. The first step in the process is the shortlisting based on CAT score and academic performance. But only short listing on the basis of IIM Kozhikode cutoff figures does not do the job; one needs to work hard in the second round too.
A list of students is prepared on the basis of Aggregate Index Score as measured by the performance in CAT, graduate degree and other relevant factors. IIM Kozhikode cutoff is then suitably applied to prepare the merit list. The student's performance in CAT is important in the overall admission process. It is equally important to perform well to clear the IIM Kozhikode cutoff. The scaled scores of both the sections in CAT are counted towards calculating the IIM Kozhikode cutoff. Post-qualification work experience carries suitable weightage depending on its quality. The final weightage given to various variables is as follows:
CAT score: 44%
PI: 44%
Resume: 12%
