Ahmedabad: MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communications, recorded 100% placement and an increase of 35% in the average package for the 27th batch of its flagship PGDM Communications program. The institute also recorded a 16% increase in its highest domestic package at Rs 57.51 lakh (CTC) per annum.
While the average CTC went up from 14 lakhs to 19 lakh, the average CTC of the top 50% of the students was 24.15 lakhs. The placement process this year also witnessed a steep increase in new recruiters.
A total of 77 companies partnered with MICA and recruited 208 students sitting for the campus placement process. Of the 208 students, 45% were boys, and 55% were girls. The batch comprised 46.5% engineers, 17.2% management, 16.7% commerce graduates, 10.7% from Science, and 8.8% from Arts and Design. The IT/ITES sector made 94 offers, followed by 39 offers from Analytics and Consulting, 27 offers from Media and Advertising, and 25 offers from the FMCG sector
Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, President & Director, MICA, said, “The placements are a mark of the recovery of the Indian economy after the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
