Breaking News: Former ‘World Bank Advisor’ joins IBA Bangalore’s ‘Governing Council’

IBA Bangalore commenced its 21^st Batch of PGDM today. The batch has students from Eighteen plus states and with varied academic backgrounds. The batch comprises of nearly 45% of female students which is ahealthy ratio like previous years.

During the orientation and induction programme, Dr. Manish Jain (Founder and Chairman) announced that Ms. Susan Verghese, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and I.I.T Delhi has given her consent to join IBA’s ‘Board of Governors’.

After the announcement, Ms. Verghese interacted with newly inducted students and faculty of IBA for more than an hour sharing her experience as well as handling Q&A after the session.

Ms. Verghese is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), USA,  Information Systems Audit and Control Association® (ISACA), USA, Certified Quality Assessor of Internal Audit, IIA, USA.

She has 38 years of experience in areas of Governance, Management, Internal Audit, Information Technology and Finance functions, of which 18 years have been with the World Bank Group.

She is known for her leadership;risk management& governance; strategic thinking; project /program management skills.

She was associated with The World Bank Group, Washington DC from 1998-2016 under various roles and assignments.

She was an ‘Adviser, Budget Performance and Strategy’, ‘Adviser, IT Risk Management’ and ‘Head of Audit Quality and Strategy team’ at World Bank group, USA.

Apart from the World Bank, shehas worked with TCS (India and France), ISCT Information Technologies Limited(India), CitiBank Information Technology Industries Limited (India), IBM Global Service (India), Welspun (India)

She is an excellent orator and is also familiar with French, Spanish and German including several Indian languages.

Her experience and guidance, along with other Board Members will help IBA and its stakeholders benefit from their vast experience, knowledge and their network.
