MBA aspirants who missed appearing for MICAT-1, a computer-based entrance test of MICA, Ahmedabad, can now appear for MICAT-2, to be held on January 30, 2021. The institute has opened applications for its 2021-23 batch of the flagship 2-year PGP Program (Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communication/Post-Graduate Diploma in Management).
The institute received a positive response for MICAT-1, held on December 5. Despite extremely challenging conditions, the turn-out across 45 centers was over 90%. MICAT, a computer-based test, is conducted twice a year, and the better of the two scores is considered as a student may choose to write both MICAT I and II. The application process for MICAT-2 is open, and the last date for online application for PGDM-C/PGDM MICAT-2 exam is January 20, 2021. It is noteworthy that students who have already appeared for MICAT -1, can also choose to take MICAT-2 and the best one of the two scores will be selected for the admission process.
Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, President & Director, MICA, said, “When one door closes, another door opens. Do not focus on the closed door; MICAT -2 is there for you. We look forward to selecting the new batch of next-generation creative problem-solvers, leaders, and managers.”
Dr. Preeti Shroff, Dean, MICA, said, “Opportunity does knock the door twice for hard-working, determined, and diverse group of applicants keen to pursue management and creativity education at MICA - The School of Ideas. Wishing the best for all MICA aspirants keen to appear for MICAT-2.”
This year, the institute has reduced its entrance exam duration, MICAT, by 30 minutes. The duration of MICAT has been reduced from 2 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes for the current year.
Said Professor Ruchi Tewari, Admissions Chair at MICA, “While the number of sections in MICAT remains the same - Psychometric, Descriptive, and Aptitude section - the total number of questions has been reduced. This decision has been in deliberation for a while, and the stressful externalities propelled us into action to make a scientific analysis of data and take this decision.”
