IIM Calcutta is one of the oldest and the most reputed B-schools in India. It is well-known for its 2-year PGP programme, apart from the newly started PGPX programme for experienced managers. Located amidst plenty of lakes and greenery, its campus is a sight to behold. IIM Calcutta selects candidates on the basis of CAT Score, Personal Interview (PI), Writing Ability Test (WAT), subject to the IIM Calcutta cutoff regarding the minimum sectional and overall percentile in the CAT. Candidates in each category securing the IIM Calcutta cutoff percentile are considered for calculating their composite scores in phase 2. However, the actual IIM Calcutta cutoff for generation of merit list in each category for PI stage depends on the composite score at Stage II, section-wise and overall percentile, which is actually higher than the minimum cutoff figures.
In this article, we have given IIM-C's CAT cut-off of Stage 1 (shortlisting).
The overall performance is computed in terms of scores for written analysis, interview, awards and recognitions, academic performance, extra-curricular activities and work experience etc. Differential weightage is alloted to CAT score, PI, WAT, marks obtained in class 10th, 12th and graduation and work experience. As per government guidelines, IIM Calcutta reserves:
