Analysis: SRCC 2012

SRCC 2012 was on the same pattern as previous year. Number of questions was also same. There were no surprises. The paper had 4 sections English, Quantitative ability, logical ability and general knowledge. Overall the paper was easy with no sectional cut off.

SECTION I: Verbal Ability

Evaluation: This section was of easy to moderate level. The section had only one RC which was long but easy to solve. 4 questions were on word usages which were basic and easy to attempt. 5 questions were on synonyms, antonyms and fill in the blanks respectively. Attempt of 30 and above with 80% accuracy would be a good score.

SECTION II: Quantitative ability

Evaluation: This section was a mix of Data Interpretation and maths. The first DI set was basic calculation and the second one was bar graph which involved intensive calculations. Arithmetic questions were a bit tricky whereas questions on ratios, time speed and distance were simple. Attempt of 25 and above with 80% accuracy would be a good score.

SECTION III: Logical Ability

Evaluation: This section involved few tricky questions. Questions on venn diagram were very easy to solve and the children ages set was also quite common and simple. Attempt of 25 with 80% accuracy would be a good score.

SECTION IV: General Knowledge

Evaluation: This section had a mix of questions on current affairs and national knowledge. The section was more or less a game changer. Some students might found the section easy while some might found it tricky. Attempt of 15-20 with 80% accuracy would be good.
