IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2020-2022

IIM Trichy’s admission process is taken into consideration based on a candidate’s performance in CAT, WAT & PI, Academic Record and work experience, if any. IIM Trichy follows different admission processes for PGPM and PGBM programme. 

Admission policy: PGPM 2020-22

For PGPM, IIM Trichy follows a two-stage process for admissions as follows:

Stage 1: Criteria for Shortlisting for PI & WAT

IIM Trichy will consider CAT 2020 Percentile score for shortlisting candidates for PI & WAT. The table mentioned below indicates minimum percentile score expected for the shortlisting of candidates.

Stage 2: Criteria for Final List of Candidates

Candidates who are selected based on CAT score for PI & WAT are sent emails to invite them for PI & WAT. PI & WAT will be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. After PI & WAT is completed, the final list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared based on various parameters, totalling which, we will get a composite score of the candidate. The combined score will help in the creation of the final merit list.

PGPBM

For PGPBM admissions, IIM Trichy follows a three-stage process to shortlist prospective candidates for the programme. Candidates must get through all of the stages of admission to get admitted to PGBM programme at IIM Trichy. 

The admission process is ad follow:

Stage 1: Application

IIM Trichy accepts online registrations of candidates who opt for PGPBM programme at IIM Trichy. Interested candidates must fill in the registration form available on the institute’s website and meet the eligibility requirement to move forward. Candidates must make payment of registration fee to proceed to the next stage of admission process, which Written Analysis Test (WAT).

Stage 2: Written Test

Candidates, who complete the application process and meet the eligibility requirement, will be invited for the written test. Candidates will be tested upon their Quantitative, Verbal, Data Interpretation and Logical ability.

Candidates that have a valid score of CAT 2019 or GMAT score will be exempted from the written test. However, candidates can choose to appear for the written test. In such cases, CAT or GMAT score will be ignored and written test score will be considered for shortlisting of candidates.

Based on the written test, candidates will be shortlisted and invited for PI in the next round. Selected candidates will be intimated by mail.

Stage 3: Personal Interview & Offer of Admission
