WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN

Design is not just about the way things look; it is also about the way they function. As India is poised for growth in almost all the fields, design is being looked upon as the key aspect in making India competitive. World University of Design (WUD) is responding to this need through its cutting edge, trans-disciplinary programs in the creative domains of Fashion, Design, Communication, Art, Architecture, Media, Management and Humanities.

WUD is India's first and only university dedicated to education in the creative domain, The university is established by the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 with the right to confer degrees under Section 2(f) and 22(I) of the UGC Act. All degrees of WUD are UGC approved.

WUD is promoted by Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational & Social Welfare Trust of Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab having over 2 decades of rich experience in establishing & running premier educational institutions. The trust is guided by the visionary industrialist Chairman Dr.Hukam Chand Bansal with the simple aim of imparting quality education and producing society worthy individuals.

ABOUT SCHOOL

Our School of Management looks forward to create responsible individuals with a futuristic vision, innovative approach, and problem-solving ability via the strong foundation of design thinking and management principles. It also helps the students to learn how to put their ideas in action and develop innovative approaches. It also provides Management courses in Design Strategy & Management. The courses primarily focus on the design thinking and its implementation at various levels.

With unique methodologies and workshops, the School of Management provides one-of- its-kind business management education that makes students strong enough to sustain the continuous waves of change as well be trendsetters. It also helps the students to learn how to put their ideas in action and develop innovative approaches.

Who can apply for these Programs?

1. Business managers and leaders who are materially involved at any point in a product’s lifecycle, from cradle-to-grave.

2. Those who may be directly responsible for product role such as in sales, marketing, operations. Finance or R&D.

3. Professionals at companies who are focused on using technology as a competitive differentiator, even if your vertical market isn’t ‘tech’.

Admission Procedure

The process of Admission to WUD programmes shall consist of the following stages:

STEP 1. FILL THE ADMISSION FORM

Students will need to send completed application form available on the website along with the application fee.

STEP 2. APPEAR FOR APTITUDE TEST

The students shall appear in the aptitude test with the Admit Cards made available online. The students shall be shortlisted on the basis of their performance and the list of students qualifying the next stage would be announced online.

STEP 3. CAMPUS INTERVIEW

The student will appear in a personal interview conducted by a panel. The interview panel will ask questions related to the field of study selected by the student. Creative evidence (portfolio, drawings, photographs, crafts etc.) in hard copy may also be showcased.

STEP 4. OFFER OF ADMISSION/ ADMISSION

Successful candidates will be made an offer of admission to join WUD. The offer will be sent via an email. Details regarding payment of fees at the time of admission, allotment of Hostel and date, time and venue for commencement of the academic session will be included in the admission letter.

Offer of admission will be valid only for the particular programme opted for by the candidate in the given academic session. However request for change of programme may be considered after the first semester, subject to availability of seats.

In acceptance of the offer of admission to WUD, the candidates will have to appear in person at the campus along with original documents for verification, and pay the required fees.

GAT & PG-GAT: General Aptitude Test

For admission to UG/PG Management programmes followed by a personal interview.
