IIM Bengaluru Selection Criteria

IIM Bengaluru has a two-step selection process for MBA admissions. The first phase applies to all those who take the CAT to determine the candidates to be called for personal interview (PI) and essay writing. The topics typically reflect current political, economic and business affairs, though sports and creative topics may also be included. The interview panel evaluates each candidate on academics, work experience and other traits. The scores of both the written note and the interview, apart from CAT scores, are used cumulatively during the final selection process. As per the latest official notification, there are a few changes in the weightage of various admission factors. So, the different weights allotted to each part of the selection process for admissions 2023-25 will be:

Percentage weight on a scale of 100
