With an aim to bring together some of the brightest minds, interested in exploring the ever changing dynamics of marketing, FIIB, New Delhi on Saturday, October 27, organized National Marketing Conference. Speaking about the conference, Ms. Radhika Srivastava, Executive Director, FIIB said, “Given the technology disruptions that are ongoing, brands are under tremendous pressure to creatively improve their technology offerings in the entire marketing value chain - product promotion, quality, customer service, delivery, complaint handling, and social responsibility, among others. Through their unique insight, inspirations and innovative ideas, the speakers at the conference deliberated on this critical issue of managing the customer’s journey using the latest in AI to drive business results.”

The session started with introduction and inauguration of the event. Dr. Anil Kumar Sinha, Director of FIIB delivered welcome remarks on the importance of marketing in daily lives followed by Dr. Nimit Gupta, Faculty at FIIB and National Marketing Conference Chair, introducing the theme. The inaugural speaker was Ms Tripti Singhal, Chairman- Women Entrepreneurship Committee - PHD Chambers of Commerce, Director- Creamy Foods. She quoted about the touch points of the consumer’s Behaviour. Considering the importance of content marketing she said ‘People understand it's all about  Content’. She talked about the innovation is all about the opportunities.

To engage in the panel discussion at the conference, noted personalities such as Tamanna Singh, Managing Director, Uberlux India; Sudipta Jash, Director, Global Sales & Partnerships, PayU Payments Pvt. Ltd.; Manav Adlakha, Regional Sales Head, Grover Zampa Vineyards; Kunal Mehta, Manager, Marketing Strategies & Analytics, Sapient | Data Lead APAC, UK Regions; Nikhil Kalla, Senior Pricing Analyst, Honeywell; Uchit Kapoor, Senior & Advanced Management Professional, Author & Consultant, AVP – Veritas Financial Services and Sonali Sinha, COO Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council-NSDC, were amongst the visiting dignitaries. The discussions during the NMC informative sessions at FIIB, specifically centered on the newly emerging marketing practices and identifying various touchpoints to serve customers better and exceed their expectations. The discussions particularly focused on customer-centric approaches such as effective information sharing, providing support, offering enhanced services, handling transactions etc.

During the second half, the session took a practical turn of Marketing Fair - a competition where students at FIIB created, communicated, and delivered the products of they chose. It was judged by Shivani Singh, Queen Mrs Asia Pacific Exquisite International and Sumit Pratap Singh, Indian T-20 Cricketer, who also attended the conference. There was also a technical session in which researchers, and marketing students from different institutions including FIIB presented their research papers. The Best Paper Award was given to Paperboat Chikki “Transforming a cottage industry commodity into a brand and the Marketing Fair was won by team Dessert-a-licious - Anshika Bhatnagar, Garv Narula, Akshesh Arya, Deeksha Sharma, Alka Kushwaha, Prashi Agarwal students of FIIB.  On the takeaways of the conference, Dr. Nimit Gupta, Chair of National Marketing Conference said, “With the ever-rising impact of data, technology, and interactions, it is becoming imperative for a marketer to be customer experience driven. The Touch points are the levers a marketer need to pull to offer customer delight as rightly said, today's consumer focuses on YES ABHI!
