XLRI conducts XAT every year in the first week of January on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT is a common admission test for the 11 institutes under XAMI. Additionally, more than 100 other institutes for admission to their management programs use the XAT score.
There are a lot of factors that you should keep in mind before deciding the institute you should apply for and finally join. The various parameters like, quality of faculty and students, placements, fee structure, infrastructure, etc. must be considered.
After extensive research we have done a comprehensive listing of all the institutes under XAT. The institutes have been divided into 4 categories: A+, A, B+ and B. Following is a description of the college rankings:

|A||Normally 100% Placement; Average salary 6-14 lakhs p.a.|
|B+||Majority of students get placed; Average salary 3.5-8 lakhs p.a.|
|B||Partial Placement; Average salary 2.5-6 lakhs p.a.|
